This month Scott Courtney will present an introduction of 3D modeling with Blender; the cross-platform, open-source animation suite.

Blender can be used to create 3D visualizations such as still images, video and real-time interactive video games.

For this meeting Steven Mathewson will be presenting Source Fabric's Airtime Broadcast
server software, which he is planning to use for a community non profit
radio station (neopa.org) which has recently been approved for an FCC
construction permit on 102.5 FM (100 watts).

Ohio LinuxFest 2009

The seventh annual Ohio LinuxFest will be held in Columbus Ohio on September 25-25, 2009. We will be celebrating 40 years of unix. Unix pioneer Doug McIlroy will be giving an address about how unix was invented at Bell Labs. Doug was there at the beginning of unix. He was the manager of the research department at Bell Labs that included Dennis Ritchie and Brian Kernighan. Doug is credited with the invention of unix pipes!
